The OOTYULRA organizers request every runner to carefully follow the event rules primarily crafted for the comfort and safety of everyone


The OOTYULTRA is a road race and after the official start of your individual race category, the Ultra clock keeps ticking. The 60k course will remain open for 10:30 hrs, 30k for 5:30 hrs and 15k no cut off (but the last mobile aid-station (approx. 12k) before the finish will be operational only for 2 hr 15 min)

All the runners who are found to be on the course after the cut-off will be identified as DNF and swept away by volunteers. The runner will be treated as DNF if he/she reaches the finish line after the cut-off timing or reach with any other means of transportation.

DNF status will not get any finisher medal.

You must complete the race in your registered category. Ex. if you have registered for 60 Km category you will get a finisher medal only when you complete 60 km within the cut-off time specified.

You will wear only the BIB allocated to you with your name and will not give this BIB to another runner to participate if you are unable to participate in this event or unable to run during the event.

Cheating in any form will not be allowed. You will not take any lift/ride in vehicles of any form and arrive at the finish line to claim a successful finish. If found cheating, you will be disqualified from the event and an announcement with the name will be posted in the website and also in the associated social media pages. You will also be debarred from entering any events organized by KaysFIT Academy in the future.

You must wear your BIB on your chest and it must be visible till you complete your run.

You have a 10 mins window provided to start the race, you will not be allowed to start after that. No additional time will be given for the finish.

You are allowed to pull out of the race anytime due to injury, sickness, fatigue or for reasons which are not listed here. Your health and safety is very important and do not feel shy to approach our volunteers in case of any support. This is not the last event on the earth and you can always participate in another event whenever you become fit to run again.

This is a mountain run and you will come across many small villages and local dwellers. Smile and wave at them - they are very friendly in general. Dress appropriately and no nudity / partial nudity is allowed.

Do not run under the influence of any severe medications, drugs, narcotics or other banned substances. Drinking is not allowed in the event.

Photo identification card - All non-Indian citizens will have to provide a photocopy of the front and back pages of their passport showing their photo identity and details of passport prior to starting the run

All Indian citizens must show a copy of their government-issued ID card for verification.

Please do not negotiate with the organizers during the bib-collection if you do not have any identification to show. Your BIB will not be given without proper identification.

The decision taken by the race director will be final and please cooperate with the crew and volunteers to serve us one of the best racing experiences.

Terms & Conditions

Choose the event category carefully, confirmed registrations are non-refundable

You are allowed to upgrade or downgrade your event category without any additional charges on or before 10-Mar-2019. When you do an upgrade qualification pre-requisites must be met and you must also pay the difference in the registartion amount. Write a mail to for the changes. No changes will be allowed after that.

You are allowed to transfer your registration to another qualified runner on or before 10-Mar-2019 without any additional charges. No refund will be provided. No changes will be allowed after that.

If you have found to have given wrong qualification records, your entry may be cancelled or you may be downgraded to a lower distance category. No refund will be provided. You will also not receive the custom finisher medal.

Provide us with a secure email ID/mobile number that you can access regularly since this will be our primary means of communication during the run-up to the event.

Users of email services that offer filtering/blocking of messages from unknown email address should add this email id

We will be sending regular updates to the registered email address you have provided in the registration form this should be not treated as spam and you shall not take any action against the organizers or the service providers.

Any notice sent to the email address registered with the organizers shall be deemed as received by the runners.

Please fill out only those fields that are necessary for mailing purposes. Do not provide redundant data in multiple fields (i.e., do not list the same data for a city, province, and country), as this will only complicate our ability to contact you, if necessary.

The organizers will have the right to change the start point, end point or the race route depending on the permissions from the local authorities.

OOTYULTRA is a road run and there will be light vehicular traffic throughout the course. OOTY is in the forest area and wild animals like Bisons, may be present and you may encounter stray dogs near villages. You are expected to run with company and follow the safety guidelines (will also be shared before the race). You are aware of the dangers and take full responsibility to be safe.

You are aware that running / long distance running is an extreme sport and can be injurious to body and health. You take full responsibility for participating in the OOTYULTRA event and do not hold the organizing committee or any of its members or entities responsible for any injury or accident.

You shall consult your physician and undergo a complete medical examination to assess your suitability to participate in the event.

You also assume all risks associated with participating in this event including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat or humidity, traffic and the condition of the road, arson or terrorist threats and all other risks associated with a public event. Only basic First-Aid support will be provided. The nearest hospital is located in Ooty, 8 km from the finish point and 30 km from the farthest part of the run

You agree that OOTYULTRA shall not be liable for any loss, damage, illness or injury that might occur as a result of your participation in the event.

You agree to abide by the instructions provided by the organizers from time to time in the best interest of your health and event safety

You also agree to stop running if instructed by the Race Director or the Medical Staff or by the Aid Station Volunteers

You confirm that your name and media recordings were taken during your participation may be used to publicize the event.

You may acknowledge and agree that your personal information can be stored and used by OOTYULTRA or KaysFIT Academy any other company in connection with the organization, promotion, and administration of the event and for the compilation of statistical information.

You confirm that, in the event of adverse weather conditions, major incidents or threats on the day, any of the force majeure or restriction by authority, the organizers reserve the right to stop/cancel/postpone the event.

You understand that confirmed registrations are non-refundable. The organizers reserve the right to reject any application without providing reasons. Any amount collected from rejected applications alone will be refunded in full (excluding adminstrative charges Rs. 500/- per ticket & GST already paid and bank transaction charges wherever applicable).

Refer to the FAQ section on the ticket transfer policy. Discounted tickets can be transfered to another eligible runner by paying the difference in the full ticket price + applicable taxes & online transaction charges

For any reason you cannot turn up on race day, no refund of any form will be given. You will also not recieve the custom medal or any freebies given to the runners.

Participants must personally appear for collecting the running Bibs on the day before the Ultra Marathon or follow the authorisation process set by the event director.

Runners will not be allowed to stay on the course beyond the cut-off time considering the safety and health issues. You will be taken to the finish line in rescue vehicles and will be considered as DNF.
